James Priebe  James Priebe

James once began each day by singing "The Star Spangled Banner". That was protocol at Francis Scott Key Grammar School in the Sunset where he learned to add, subtract and multiply without aid of a calculator or Excel. Mathematics was fun. With a B.A. in International Relations, James taught middle school math and then took off for Europe, acting in films and roaming the continent. Next stop, Oahu, earning an M.F.A. in Playwriting, acting as Associate Dean of Community Services and managing the University of Hawaii theatre on the Leeward campus. Combining fiscal skills with theatre expertise, James co-founded a classical theatre center in Spring Green, Wisconsin. And as chief financial officer at Playwrights Horizons in Manhattan, he co-produced new works off-and-on-Broadway. James now begins his day with a simple chorus of "Here Comes the Sun".
